We believe waste is simply a resource in the wrong place — and that belief doesn't stop at fabric and paper. Aluminium offcuts, steel componentry, electrical cable, and end-of-life hardware all carry value long after a project is decommissioned. That's why we're proud to announce a new partnership with Auckland Metal Recyclers (AMR), a locally operated scrap metal collection and recycling business helping Auckland businesses keep recyclable metals out of landfill.
PRACTICAL, RELIABLE, TRANSPARENT
AMR was built around a simple idea: metal recycling should be easy for the businesses doing it. From steel, aluminium, and stainless steel through to copper, brass, batteries, electrical cable, and other non-ferrous metals, AMR collects a wide range of recyclable materials — with both regular scheduled collections and one-off pickups tailored to customer needs.
Crucially for our Second Thread™ ethos, AMR doesn't just collect — it documents. Clear records of collections and material weights mean diverted material can be measured, reported, and verified, supporting the same thread-by-thread accountability we apply across our paper, fabric, and frame streams.
EXPERIENCE WHERE IT COUNTS
The business is operated by Matt Ross, who brings around 15 years of hands-on experience across the scrap metal and recycling industry — spanning yard operations, driving, collection logistics, customer accounts, and management. That depth of operational knowledge means collections run the way busy production environments need them to: on time, properly handled, and properly recorded.
RESPONSIBLE CHANNELS, HONEST CLAIMS
AMR operates commercially with the appropriate transport requirements for collection work, including a Transport Service Licence, and works exclusively with established downstream metal recycling processors to ensure material is responsibly recycled through proper industry channels. AMR is also a member of the New Zealand Association of Metal Recyclers (NZAMR), the industry body for metal recyclers nationwide.
In the spirit of transparency we hold ourselves to, it's worth being clear about what isn't claimed: AMR does not currently hold formal environmental certification such as ISO 14001 — and neither AMR nor OneFrame will overstate that. What we can confidently say is that AMR provides practical, traceable metal recycling that helps businesses reduce waste and strengthen their sustainability reporting with real numbers, not vague promises.
